(Result of the duck-duck-goose game!)
After finishing his morning routine of lazily lounging beneath the shade of an overturned boulder and eating perhaps a bit more than he should; Asher Redmond had found himself at a loss of things to do. The yearling had found quite quickly that the Valley didn’t appear to have much in terms of excitement compared to his bustling Adraxian home, but he supposed the quietness and overall peaceful atmosphere was quite soothing despite it all. Maybe he’d even come to prefer the lackadaisical nature of this place rather than the harshness of his natal lands, though it would still take quite a bit of getting used to. There certainly weren’t enough gang wars and hate crimes around here.
One thing the boy did enjoy, however, was the fact that he was able to roam freely without worrying about getting shanked in the neck by some highlander. After all, adventure was the one thing Asher could truly say he loved- The one thing that brought him here. And though he’d only met one wolf thus far on his journey through whatever-the-hell this place was; He could already tell that the valley would be much more fulfilling than anything that Adrax would’ve provided.
Not that he didn’t miss the danger lurking around each corner. That was… quite honestly the only thing he enjoyed about his homeland. It kept him on his toes- Unlike here, where he was hardly ever on his toes.
Anyway, Asher had been half-heartedly bumbling about by the river’s bank when he began to notice odd lumps pressing up from the dirt. They were small, easily smoosh-able by his paw, but upon closer inspection, appeared to have tiny holes at the top. Being the ever-curious bugger he was; The boy’s first instinct was to stick his nose in it.
Only to be met with a faceful of ants.
He sneezed, whipping his head back in an attempt to dislodge the ants that were now crawling freely into his nostrils and around his eyelids. “What… the… FUCK!?” He yipped between sneezes, slamming his paw angrily into the mound of dirt.
That’ll teach those ants.
...That’ll teach him to stop sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong.
