Since coming to the coast she’d spent all if her time in ranger territory not really venturing away from it. Bucky had side she was needed at home so she’d stayed there doing what needed to be done but when she woke up that morning she had a small case of itchy paws. She supposed it was left over from her time on her own.

She set off away from ranger lands in a direction she hadn’t yet explored. She thought it was a good idea to get to know the surrounding lands. She hadn’t been back to see Fox unsure if it was a good idea or not so maybe the walk would do her good. Maybe give her some ideas on how to make herself seem less scary to the girl. Braith didn’t really have a clue and wondered if it might be best she forget the whole thing.

With a sigh she came to what looked like cliffs which she started to climb wondering what she might find at the top. Her ears picked up the sound of the ocean crashing against the rocks and she soon found out why. Her coat became damp as the mist clung to her fur but it didn’t bother her as she looked out across the water.

[Jeames needs more threads to get back into the swing of things. Have a Tyrell >D]

Tyrell was a wanderer. He never stayed in one place. He had gone out for a run, a long run. He needed to get rid of some of his energy. And running in the mountains helped his lungs grow stronger. He used to do it a lot last time he had resided in the mountains. He would head back to Shade soon enough, he just wanted to go somewhere.

However, he had ran a bit further than planned. It was okay, though; he knew his way back. It seemed he had found cliffs. They looked out over the ocean, and Tyrell stopped, panting a little. He found his way to the edge, though did not move too close to it; he did not want to fall to his death. That would be dumb. Tyrell was not stupid.

But, the view was breathtaking from up here, and he wanted to see it. ’’Wow.’’ he breathed. His nose twitched as the scent of another wolf entered his nostrils. He sniffed, taking it in, but realized they still were a ways off. He did not need to worry. Not that Tyrell ever worried. His tail waved a little as he stared out towards the horizon.

She had not expected to come across such a view when she’d climbed the cliff. Braith had thought the beach was a wonderful thing. As the mist dampened her coat and the water crashed on the rocks she thought this was breathtaking. Never in her life had she imagined such a place could exist. Even though she was worried about the meeting with Fox and a few other things she was able to find a sort of peace on the cliff top.

She’d sat back on her haunches to stay a while and enjoy the view. She’d never thought she’d be glad to take a few moments to get away from the everyday drum of life. It was just though to not be constantly going, doing this or that.

It seemed someone else though that the view was just as great as she did. The voice of another reached her ears causing her to turn her head to find another. At first she thought it was Yuna but realized first the voice was completely wrong and the scent was off too. This wolf was a male still she couldn’t he rude. “Hello, it’s quite the place we’ve come to,” she commented as a way to start a conversation with him.

Huh, the stranger apparently did not avoid him, leave him to himself. It was a female, young, and she came moving in on him, and immediately started talking. Tyrell looked her way with a flick of his ear, a little confused. Either she was brave, or really foolish. Probably the latter. She should be glad Tyrell had no bad intentions towards the little miss. But maybe she should be more cautious?

’’It is.’’ Tyrell hummed, and inspected her. ’’You travel alone often, little miss?’’ he asked her, then. Just curious. Was she supposed to be out here, on her own? Tyrell’s eyes roamed the area, wondering if anyone she knew was nearby.

Always eager to meet new wolves Braith Immediately tried to start a conversation with the stranger who’d appeared. When he turned to look at her she was taken by his bright blue eyes. However those eyes seemed to hold some confusion and she wondered if maybe he wanted to be alone atop The cliff. It was a view that she would understand someone wanting to enjoy it alone.

Just when she thought that might be the case he spoke agreeing with her. Then yes asked a question about her traveling habits. “I used to until I came here but I haven’t been traveling for awhile,” she explained a look of confusion crossing her features as to why he was asking such things.

She had been traveling alone before- coming to this valley? Tyrell’s frown only got deeper. ’’Aren’t you a bit too young to travel on your own, miss?’’ he asked her. No mockery, just curiosity. And confusion. She was probably just over a year old. She smelled of pack, so he guessed she had a home. But- he did not smell anyone else in the area- which mean she was traveling alone. He was surprised she wasn’t scared of him, as big as he was.

Oh well, he guessed it was none of his concern, huh? He stared back out over the ocean, and sighed.

Braith didn’t really understand why he was so concerned with her traveling alone. It wasn’t anything new to her since she’d been doing it since she was still just a pup. To her the trek she’d made from the gorge to this cliff had been nothing. “I don’t think so at least not anymore. Besides it’s not that far from my pack. Why are you so curious anyway?” She asked as now her own curiosity had been piqued.

She looked out across the ocean as he did before another thought came to mind. “What brings you to these cliffs?”

Ah, okay then. She came from a pack that apparently was close. Packs, bah. Tyrell did not like them. ’’Just curious, I guess.’’ he commented. There was no sense in talking about this, anymore. He thought he had to worry, but it looked like this girl could take well enough care of herself. Until someone nasty mauled her. But Tyrell told himself that was none of his concern. He should stop thinking about it.

What brought him to these cliffs? ’’I happened to stumble upon them, wanted to take a look.’’ he spoke. Yep, he was quite boring. At least, he was boring to little girls. ’’Never been here before.’’

’’I assume you come here a lot, then?’’

Well he was a puzzling one wasn’t he since he didn’t have a real reason to question her about traveling alone. It was no matter despite what he was suggesting, she couldn’t take care of herself. Braith shrugged it off, “Well your concern is appreciated,” she offered. She would also take not to make sure she stayed alert on the way back. She also knew that he was merely suggesting that there might be bad wolves lurking about. She’d heard about them here and there, Elliot and that wolf that poisoned pups.

He explained about stumbling across the place, “It seemed to me it’s good that you came to look. “ In her opinion since the view was rather breathtaking. “Now you have.” Then her head canted to the side as he spoke about her, “It’s my first time as well.

His concern was appreciated. Hmpf. Tyrell wasn’t really concerned (ssshhh, he was), he just didn’t want to be responsible if anything happened to this young pack wolf. He did not want to be chased by any pack. The kid spoke, but the words barely caught his attention because they had no real conversation value. How was he going to respond to this? Ugh, Tyrell didn’t do well with pups. Or yearlings, in this case.

So all he eventually brought out was a soft hummed ’’mhm’’, as his eyes remained on the ocean. He wondered, randomly, how far down the water was. Would a drop down kill him, or anyone else? Peering over the edge a little, he saw rocks down there. Yep. Yep that would kill someone. ’’Hmm… better not get too close to the edge.’’ he said as he took two steps back. ’’Rocks down there. If you fell, it would be a nasty one.’’

The truth was she didn’t know if he was actually concerned with her well being and the fact she was out on that cliff alone. It had just seemed the polite thing to say in response to the questions that he’d asked. Braith was used to being alone since she’d spent so much time by herself when she first came to the valley. She felt that was a good thing though as she’d gotten to know herself better but also helped her to be comfortable with herself.

She turned her head to look at him as he hummed a response. She then watched him step a little closer to the edge which she wouldn’t do. “Hearing the water crash is enough for me,” she stated while he stepped back away from the edge, “We want to avoid that,” she added. She didn’t even want to really think about what could happen. She knew as long as she stayed where she was she would be okay. “Where are you from?” She blurted out and little bluntly but also to be heard over the crashing water below.

Well, at least the girl had some sense. She stayed away from the edge, mentioned the sound of crashing water. Tyrell could hear it, too. He nodded, took a good few more steps back from the edge. Just in case; he did not want to fall down, after all. He watched the water again for a little bit, and the horizon. A few birds flew over the body of water, in the distance. Tyrell could hear them screech, and he grimaced. Those birds made an awful sound.

She suddenly asked where he came from. He was surprised she had not asked his name first. ’’Someplace far, nothing special. You?’’ he returned the question. ’’Oh, and I’m Tyrell.’’ Just in case she had planned to ask for his name, next.

A warning to stay away from the edge wasn’t necessary but it was nice of the wolf to give it. She knew he didn’t have to nor did he have to care if something happened to her. They were strangers after all and had only just met a moment ago. They had no significance I’m each others lives. Again he seemed to he showing concern which she appreciated, it had been a long time since anyone had shown that kind of concern for her besides Bucky.

Her curious nature however took over leading her to ask him about where he was from. He didn’t seem to mind and answered her quickly, “A place full of Lavender.” She still missed it everyday. She smiled as he gave her his name, “I’m Braith it’s nice to meet you Tyrell.”

In a place full of lavender. That sounded interesting. What was lavender, again? Tyrell had to think for a moment. He was traveling with a healer so he should have known to be honest. Oh, wait. ’’Those purple flowers?’’ he asked her. That’s what lavender was, right? They really weren’t hard to miss.

Braith, though. interesting name. It sounded… weird? ’’Nice ta meetcha.’’ he commented, not as polite as she was. Tyrell had never really had manners. He could use them, he knew how to. He just wasn’t… in the mood to. Like, ever.

He wondered if he should head back to Shade. Maybe the guy was awake, and waiting for him? Maybe he was already panicking, not seeing Tyrell. Though, Tyrell had a feeling that if Shade could not find him, he would just run to that old geezer and hole up there. Tyrell almost shrugged at the thought. But he held in that movement because it probably would look weird to the little miss, here.

’’I might have to go back soon. Friend is waiting. Maybe.’’ he said, and he sighed. But, did he really have to go back so soon? He could do whatever he wanted.

She nodded when he asked about the flowers, “Yes, there was a whole field of them. I used to spend a lot of time there as a pup.” Those days were long gone now though. She had to be an adult and help take care of the pack these days. Sometimes she did wish she were a puppy again back nestled among the Lavender flowers. Life was much easier then.

She gave a dip of her head as he said it was nice to meet her. As he did so she distinctly got the feeling he was a little rough around the edges. She didn’t mind, he hadn’t done her harm yet and didn’t seem to want to, that was really all that mattered to the yearling.

He spoke of maybe having to go back to his friend soon. “That’s okay if you do,” she should probably head back soon too but she wasn’t quite ready to go just yet. Maybe she would stay a little longer after he’d gone and watch as the water sprayed up when it hit the rocks.

“Are you heading anywhere particular with your friend?” She asked though she probably shouldn’t have but it didn’t hurt to ask right? If he wanted to tell her he could and if not well that was his choice.

A whole field of purple flowers. That sounded interesting, and out of this world. Something that wasn’t real. Maybe he would come across such a field, one day? He would love to see it. Roll around in it. Lavender smelled sweet, right? Tyrell really didn’t know too much about plants…

Braith asked if he and Shade were headed anywhere, and Tyrell immediately shrugged in response. ’’Not really. Maybe we’re going north. He’s a healer and wanted to travel and help others. I’m just coming along as his handsome but useless assistant.’’ A grin appeared on his face, and he looked back to Braith.

’’I know no sh- nothing about plants.’’ Uhhhh, he probably should not curse around a youngster. Wait, had he already done that? He could not remember.
Oh shit.

Sometimes the words just left him, without thinking.
