What even was this place? He’d never seen anything like it. Even the ground was weird, and there were water holes everywhere. Shade made sure to stay away from those. Who knew what lived in them..

The terrain was weird, sure, but it was pretty at least. Something new to explore. Tyrell was behind him last he checked, and unless some new male swooned him and stole him away—highly likely, really—then he should still be there.

“Hey, Tyrell, why is this place so weird?”

Tyrell was an adventurer. He could know.

They had arrived at a very peculiar place; Tyrell never had seen anything like this before. So when Shade asked him about it, he shrugged, ready to voice his confusion. ’’I have no damn clue.’’ he responded, and looked around him. Those water holes looked a bit… weird, even creepy.

He could feel the ground shake softly, not much, but it was there. As if the earth was rumbling far beneath them. On the inside. ’’I don’t trust this place to be honest.’’ he commented, although casually, and snorted as his eyes fell on one of the holes. ’’That’s not a hole I would like to go in.’’ Ah, he still had his awful jokes ready.

Shit, so Tyrell hadn’t seen something like this before. Shade was petrified of water, but this.. These holes looked like the ground had blisters. Pretty, blue blisters, but blisters nonetheless.

Of course, Tyrell heard hole and had to make it impure. Shade buffed a laugh.

Seriously, though, this place was weird..and the ground rumbled. He’d never felt that before.

“We should go. I don’t trust this place either.”

There were other ways to go about getting northward. Going around this weird-ass place would be a good start.

When Shade laughed, Tyrell shot him a quick grin. But, the grin faded soon enough as he felt a little uncomfortable in this place. Shade spoke, and Tyrell nodded in agreement. ’’Yeahhh, let’s keep walking and get the fuck out of here.’’ he said in response.

The earth rumbled again, and suddenly a bit away from them, water came spewing out of one of the holes. It startled Tyrell, and he stared at the fog it created. ’’WHAT THE TOTAL FUUUUCK!?’’ he yelled, blue eyes wide.

Realizing he had made a fool of himself, he coughed afterwards, and tried to regain himself, looking at Shade with a sheepish smile. ’’Bro, those holes are deadly! Let’s get out of here.’’

Please.

Tyrell was on edge.
He glanced around at the other holes. No more, please.

The two were in agreement. Shade’s eyes widened at the sudden eruption. Before he realized it, his tail was way under him and he was cowering toward Tyrell, aiming to shove himself as close to the wolf as possible. He was speechless. Opened his mouth to talk but only a whispered whimper came out. He didn’t want to do this anymore.

Shade cowered at the water thing even more than Tyrell did, and when he came to seek some sort of protection from the bigger male, Tyrell couldn’t help but grin, and he felt himself become braver. Odd, how someone else’s fear could make you stronger. ’’Yeah, let’s go. Stay close to me, and stay away from those holes.’’ he told Shade, and started moving.

Shade followed closely, his head buried in Tyrell’s fur, taking in his familiar scent as a way to cope with the stress. He didn’t want to look at the water any more.

Shade did not say a word, but followed Tyrell closely. Even going as far as to press himself into the male. It gave Tyrell strength, it made him feel superior. He liked that feeling. It made him feel worth something. A strong protector.
He had to say Shade was acting quite… cute, right now. Tyrell liked cute guys. Yes, Shade, let Tyrell protect you.

’’Hole to the right.’’ he warned, and veered a little to the left. He said it, though, because it looked like Shade was not paying attention to their surroundings. Tyrell did not want him go falling into a hole, and get blown up by water. It felt… hot.
It probably was very hot.

She’d meant to leave this stupid place as soon as possible, but instead, she’d been lingering, not sure where to go.

In the forest, mostly. There was a scent on the wind, today. One Samaya had spent so long searching for. She’d been napping in the forest and the second the scent had drifted to her, she’d leapt to her feet, excitement sweeping through her. That was Tyrell’s scent. 100%. His voice, sweet as ever, drifting to her over the geyser field.

Samaya let loose an excited little giggle, tail sweeping to and fro with true happiness. She almost bolted right that second, but she paused. She had to make sure nothing was sticking to her beautiful fur - Tyrell could only see her at her best. Perfect. She shook, did a cursory once over and when she was satisfied with that, she set off at a trot, hips swaying.

TYRELLLLLLLL~” Samaya singsonged, just as soon as she made it to the edge of the geyser field. She could see him from here! His beautiful fur stand out against all the dullness, a beacon. But, oh, he had someone pressed close to him and that wasn’t right at all. A girl? Jealousy, hot and boiling, swept through her, but she didn’t stop.

///One round away, should be within sight/hearing distance. sldjfsd i’ve been meaning to throw her in her -screams quietly-

He’d snag peeks every so often, but for the most part kept his face snugged deep in the man’s creamy fur. He regarded Tyrell’s notice and made a careful point to mimic him exactly. This place was some sort of hell.

His ears twitched at the sound of Tyrell’s name. A female voice..was he imagining this?

“Did you hear that?” he asked, though his voice was muffled by Tyrell.

No, Shade, sadly you had not imagined it. As they moved through the strange area, there was a female voice calling out his name, and Tyrell frowned. He heard it over the rumbling of the earth. What the hell…? ’’I did…’’ he muttered, and looked around in confusion. He did not know who had called out to him but- he wanted to find out. And then, he saw this white blob running towards them. He sniffed; female. Strangely, the scent was vaguely familiar.

Who the fuck?

’’Whaaat?’’ he called out. Tyrell had no time for pleasantries. He wanted to get the fuck out of here.

Samaya’s step didn’t falter, no. When Tyrell called out, her gait switched into something bouncy, excited. She’d been looking so long, and now he was here, practically right in front of her! “Tyrell!” Samaya repeated, sweet and singsongy yet again.

The distance was closing quick. Eventually, she realized the dark wolf pressed close to Tyrell was male and a brow threatened to quirk up in confusion at that. She kept her expression sweet and when she neared she flashed her best smile at both boys.

She sidled in close, unabashedly trying to nuzzle her way between the two. “Hey boys,” Samaya coo’d, regardless. “Tyrell,” turquoise eyes turned to take in the handsome face she’d missed so much. She’d nearly forgotten how breathtakingly beautiful his eyes were, how handsome that face was. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you,” Samaya murmured.

/// She’s totes trying to wedge herself between Shade and Tyrell and it totes doesn’t have to work. What she says will stay the same even if she doesn’t.

He fought the beast that was fear keeping his face glued to Tyrell. Too much was going on—he had to see. Just as he was working up the courage to stand on his own, he was thrust forcibly to the side.

What in the…

“The hell is your problem?” he growled. He rarely growled, but he was angry now, as well as trembling and still shaken from the..whatever the fuck that thing was.

He took a step back to get a better view of the female.

How the fuck- who was this girl and how did she know his name? Tyrell frowned, staring at her with a disgusted, wrinkled face. Really, girls were totally weird and Tyrell did not understand them. She was speaking, and she literally tried to… get in between Shade and Tyrell? What the hell?

Tyrell stared at her, trying to process this, trying to remember. OH, wait. This was… that crazy chick. Uh- uhhhhh- ’’I’m sorry- what was your name again?’’ he asked her, utterly confused. ’’And whyyyy did you look for me?’’
Yeah, why? He knew she had been following him around like a puppy months ago but- What?

Odd, a strange girl like this should have stayed in his memory. Maybe Tyrell just didn’t care.
Her name started with in S, he was sure. Uhhhh… He remembered her face just not-

And Shade, he was angry. Well, this was a weird mess he got himself into.

She’d slipped between the two a lot easier than she might have thought, the dark dark boy stepping sharply to the side. Samaya had to fight back a smirk. He even snarled at her and that just made it all so much more worth it. She didn’t fight the glee from making an appearance on her face - it could easily be written off as excitement after finally finding Tyrell.

She circled around the back of Tyrell, coming up on his other side. If he wouldn’t retreat, she would happily brush all along his side only to tuck her head beneath his chin.

Turquoise eyes flashed to the dark boy beside them and she just kept smiling. Tyrell was being silly, pretending he didn’t remember her. No one forgot Samaya.

She giggled.

Tyrell, you’re so funny. I came to find you because we belong together, duh.”

Among being angry, scared, and nervous, he was now uncomfortable as well. This girl was clearly flirting with Tyrell, which was completely unacceptable, and if Shade wasn’t in fear of wetting himself (and he was) then he might physically hurt her.

It was apparent that Tyrell didn’t know her, so there’d be no repercussions for violently offending her. He could still do that.

“S-step away from my mate,” oh, heck. His voice was all shaky from the weird exploding circles.
