“Duck, Duck, Goose” is a game I’ve only encountered on this one HP roleplay I belonged to for a while, but the concept is super fun. So I’m shamelessly pilfering the concept and bringing it to Horizon. Lmao.
The rules are simple: you can either “duck” or “goose.”
A duck is just a post here with one of your characters. It doesn’t do anything but continue the game and offer your character an opportunity to be “goosed.”
If you choose to goose, you come up with something for the character above you to carry out in a thread. The player of said character can choose to use the goose in either a starter post or regular post—whichever works! In the spirit of Horizon, a goose must not be something that involves OOC-planning. For instance, you can goose someone and say, “Bob runs into an ornery porcupine” but not something like, “Bob goes to the nearest pack and challenges their leader to a death-match.”
Basically, keep things relatively open-ended and suited to the character you’re choosing to goose; the object of the game is to bestow creative ideas/prompts upon your fellow players. And of course, if you find yourself goosed, try to actually use the goose in a thread when you get the chance! Nobody’s gonna force you, obviously, but the fun of the game is to see these scenarios come up in-character. :D In fact, feel free to link to your geese here when you use them so other players can read. Just remember to “duck” or “goose” somebody else when you post~!
I’ll start things off:
