Cricket’s paws carried her, still feeling more restless than she would have liked to admit. Maybe she should have been a little less ignorant about all the had been happening around the pack grounds, but it didn’t particularly occur to her to go rushing back. While there had been an ear lifted in case there was a message about the next steps, in all frankness, she didn’t know how to proceed.
Eyes seemed to come down toward the ground. While she could have wished something a little more passionate on the air, she brokered nothing more than a brightening feeling within. Running and hiding was definitely not in the plans, but her mouth seemed to widen as she emitted a yawn. It wasn’t her intention to be as stretched out as she was.
But finding her place again meant accepting the loss of what could have bee, what opportunities she otherwise would have had. Eyes seemed to softened, and head started to dip with a tempered glance as she exited the edge of the glen. The hills were singing, and she wondered for a few moments if she was being ridiculous.
But still, she walked on, knowing there was a river far beyond. She would come back. She had no intention of disappearing from the Brotherhood. But this… feeling inside of her needed some other kind of settlement.
