Cricket’s paws carried her, still feeling more restless than she would have liked to admit. Maybe she should have been a little less ignorant about all the had been happening around the pack grounds, but it didn’t particularly occur to her to go rushing back. While there had been an ear lifted in case there was a message about the next steps, in all frankness, she didn’t know how to proceed.

Eyes seemed to come down toward the ground. While she could have wished something a little more passionate on the air, she brokered nothing more than a brightening feeling within. Running and hiding was definitely not in the plans, but her mouth seemed to widen as she emitted a yawn. It wasn’t her intention to be as stretched out as she was.

But finding her place again meant accepting the loss of what could have bee, what opportunities she otherwise would have had. Eyes seemed to softened, and head started to dip with a tempered glance as she exited the edge of the glen. The hills were singing, and she wondered for a few moments if she was being ridiculous.

But still, she walked on, knowing there was a river far beyond. She would come back. She had no intention of disappearing from the Brotherhood. But this… feeling inside of her needed some other kind of settlement.

She’d been here a few times before. Maybe just one time before. Also she was here yesterday. Ryd snorted as the sun crept behind a crag, already beginning its descent. Most wolves were asleep at this time, but she’d woken early, found an abandoned bone and started chewing at it heartily. Nom.

Had she ever been to that forest west? She couldn’t recall. Ryd had been a lot of places.

Tail wiggling with excitement for no reason other than to totally destroy this bone, she gnawed on.

Coming upon a she-wolf should have surprised her, in some ways, because she had thought she was fairly isolated. It was never to be so, and it was just in her heart that Cricket seemed so intent to build up walls. Missing Hunter was… exhausting.

But the slight crack of teeth against bone changed her course, and coming upon the pretty looking female was almost enough to have Cricket sighing with envy.

But she called out, nonetheless, with the typical good-natured hum, “Looks some tasty, miss. Lucky you finding it first.

Aww, look at this tiny baby puppyadult (who was approximately her size, give or take). Ryd grinned, looking up and grinned.

“Always down to share with a pretty lady. Want some?”

Ryd pushed it to her before waiting for the answer.

Easing herself forward, she couldn’t help but admire someone who was so… open. It confused her. Worried her, even. Everyone else was so closed off -

Pretty but ferocious,” She argued, almost as childishly as she looked - but there was a good-natured grin as she moved down toward the ground. Crawling the last little bit.

A snack and a chat with the most gorgeous looking loner in the valley, I can’t think of anything better on a day like today.

Her tail waved some, taking easy joy in lighthearted flirtation. With females, anyway. Males served quite a different purpose.

Abruptly, she wondered what Moon was up to.

And the fact that she’d probably never know. Oh well. Wolves were free to go their own ways.

“And what didja wanna chat about?” she asked, brightening again.

(Yell at me next time I forget to post)
